4. MEDAL OF HONOR CEREMONY:
There will be a Medal of Honor ceremony in honor of Duane E. Dewey on
22 Mar 08 at 1500 hours at the American Legion Post 16 in Gainesville.
All Cadets are encouraged to attend the ceremony. Duane Dewey was a
Marine Corps Corporal serving in Panmunjon, Korea on 16 April 1952,
when he smothered a grenade to save his fellow Marines. If anyone is
interested, please see MAJ Adams for the appropriate attire to attend
the ceremony.

5. ROTC BLOOD DRIVE:
There will be a blood drive on 20 Mar 08 right outside of Van Fleet
Hall. All Cadets are encouraged to donate blood and participants
receive a free tshirt. There is a competition between us and the
other ROTC programs to see which service can donate the most blood so
please show your support for AROTC and help save lives.

6. STUDY HOURS:
Study hours are held every Tuesday and Thursday in Van Fleet. Everyone
is encouraged to attend, particular individuals having problems in
their classes or those with a low GPA.

7. REMEDIAL PT:
Remedial PT will be held every Tuesday at 1630 in front of Van Fleet -
POC Ketterer & Nguyen; Additional Remedial PT occurs every weekday at
the gym - POC Harris,Levitt, & Mohr.

8. $3,500 SCHOLARSHIP:
MSIs, IIs, and IIIs: A scholarship of $3500 is now available, but you
must inquire ASAP. The scholarship information can be attained through

3. JUNIOR SCIENCE & HUMANITIES SYMPOSIUM: The reporting times for the
Junior Science & Humanities Symposium on Monday, Feb. 4 have been
shifted down by a half-hour. The new times are as follows:

Seven to eight more volunteers are needed. You will lead small groups
of high-schoolers and their teachers to science labs within walking
distance of the Reitz; this should take no more than 30 minutes. The
uniform will be your choice of: (1) Pants with the UF Army ROTC
t-shirt (+ PT jacket, if wanted), or (2) ACUs/BDUs. Please email C/CSM

MANDATORY for ALL Cadets. If you come once a week then Monday is the

4. LAB Conflicts: ALL Cadets with lab conflicts MUST bring 2 hard
copies of their ISIS schedules to PT Mon 14Jan. This includes MSIV's!!

5. ALL CONTRACTED CADETS MUST COMPLETE A SURVEY!
The Spring Biannual Command Climate Survey is intended to provide
Brigade Commanders a responsive management tool. There are two
separate web surveys: one for Battalion Cadre and one for the Cadets.
(Do NOT confuse this with the Cadet Surveys that are conducted in the
spring and fall).

All Seminole Brigade battalion Cadre, DA Civilians and contracted
Cadets are required to complete the survey NLT 18JAN08. Contracted
staff are not required to participate, but are encouraged to.
University employees do not need to complete the surveys.
